KARACHI: Pakistan will host Afghanistan’s disabled cricket team for an International Disability Cricket Series, consisting of two one-day and three T20 matches here at National Stadium from February 22.
Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) Secretary Amiruddin Ansari addressed a press conference on Thursday regarding the series here at National Stadium.
PDCA is organising this series with support of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Association of Builders and Developers.
Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif and KCCA president Prof Ejaz Farooqui were also present on the occasion.
Rashid said that it was good to see the disabled players playing international matches. “To me these players are as good as our national players,” he said.
“Just as PCB is patronising women cricket, it should also start patronising disabled cricket and promote it at the international level,” he added.
