LAHORE
A 35-year-old woman was shot dead by her brother for ‘honour’ in the Sherakot Police limits on Friday.
Police have removed the body to the morgue. Zeba, a resident of Awan Town, has left behind three children.
Police said the woman had allegedly developed illicit relations with a boy. On the day of the incident, her brother got furious and shot at her and fled. As a result, she got seriously injured and died on the spot.
Man dies: A 60-year-old man succumbed to his injuries, received in a road traffic accident few days ago in the Racecourse Police limits, at a hospital on Friday.
Police have removed the body to morgue. The deceased has been identified as Abdul Sattar, a resident of Shad Bagh. According to ASI Akram, the deceased person was a drug addict. About two weeks ago, he was walking on the road in a state of intoxication, when a car hit him and he got seriously injured. A passerby informed the police and Edhi ambulance service, which rushed him to the Services Hospital in critical condition.
Police recorded the statement of the victim, in which he could only tell his name and residential area. According to the initial report of doctors, he succumbed to his accident injuries. However, autopsy would help ascertain the cause of death. Police is searching for his family.

According to sources, the ACE Lahore Region officials, including Circle Officer Zubair Ikhlaq arrested the SI named Muhammad Rizwan Hussain, clerk Bashir Ahmed and Muhammad Yousaf red-handed when they were taking bribe of Rs10,000 in cash and a cheque of Rs600,000.
The accused had allegedly made false promises with innocent persons for arranging jobs for them in Police and Sessions Court respectively.
