KARACHI: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in its ongoing efforts to control grey traffic has unearthed three illegal gateway exchanges in Gujrat and Islamabad, a statement said on Wednesday.
Three successful raids against the grey operators were carried out along with the FIA team in different areas of Gujrat and Islamabad, it said.
The first raid was conducted at Village Bhagowal, Jalalpur Jattan, Gujrat. An illegal exchange, comprising multiple ports were confiscated, it said, adding, one person was arrested and is in the FIA custody for further investigation.
The second raid was carried out at Shadman Colony, Gujrat. An illegal exchange, comprising multiple ports were confiscated, it said. The third raid was carried out at Shop No 8, Kausar Plaza, Sowan Garden, Islamabad where an illegal exchange comprising two gateways having capacity of eight ports each were confiscated.
