HAFIZABAD: The district police and law enforcement agencies on Tuesday arrested six members of defunct organisations in separate incidents here.
The security agencies during a crackdown on the members of defunct organisations raided and arrested Rana Jamshed Tabassum of Dhegranwalai, Ghulam Safdar, Muhammad Ashraf of Madhora Kalan, Waheed Anwar of Chak Chatha, Talib Hussain of Pindi Bhattian and Pervaiz Ahmad of Kishangarh.
SHOPKEEPER HELD WITH DEAD CHICKENS: Kaleke police along with Veterinary Dr Ali Ahmar raided and arrested a shopkeeper and seized 50-kg meat of dead chickens.
On a tip-off, the team raided at Kaleke Mandi and arrested Sheikh Gulfam and recovered 50-kg meat of dead chickens from his shop. However, the accused brother Jamshed fled. Sources said that the accused was going to supply the meat of dead chickens to Lakhi Shah village. The police have registered a case.
