CHAKWAL: On the order of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, a 30-room complex with all latest facilities will be constructed at Katas Raj, Chakwal district.
It was said by Evacuee Property Trust Board chairman Siddiqul Farooq while presiding over a high level meeting held at Katas Raj on Tuesday. DCO Asif Bilal Lodhi, DPO Dr Moeen Masood, Evacuee Trust Deputy Secretary Azhar Sulehri, AC Samina Saif Niazi and others also attended the meeting. Siddiqul Farooq said that the federal and provincial government would provide security to the Hindu Yatrees who were scheduled to visit the Katas Raj from Feb 16. DS Azhar Sulehri told that around 100 Hindu Yatrees would visit the Katas Raj to perform their rituals on the Shivratry Festival from Feb 16 to 18. DPO Moeen Masood assured that foolproof security arrangements would be provided to the Hindu Yatrees. DCO Asif Bilal said that the district government was trying to improve the condition of the Katas Raj, which was considered one of the most holy place in the Hindu religion.
DACOITY: A dacoity incident was reported here on Tuesday.
Four dacoits stormed into a godown at Sabzi Mandi and took away Rs 1.5 million from Zain Shah and two salesmen.
