Safety standards for planes should never be compromised, especially when we have had air crashes in greater frequency recently. Malaysia has lost two of its planes and recently a Taiwanese plane also had an accident. It seems the companies are not doing their duty properly.
The private sector in Pakistan is doing the same thing. The Civil Aviation Authority has shown laxity in dealing with private airline companies. In a country where awareness about legal obligations is almost none, no one challenges the wrongdoings of these mighty organisations. The heart-rending scenes seen at the site of the Taiwan’s airplane crash call for justice. At our end, the CAA should act now and make private airline companies complete all requirements honestly.
