Fazl, Sami discuss fallout of 21st Amendment

LAHORE: The leaders of both the factions of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Maulana Samiul Haq held an important meeting on Sunday and discussed situation arising after the 21st Amendment and alleged crackdown against workers of different religious parties and madaris.
Samiul Haq said during the meeting that the camel has started entering into the tent. He said the camel would fully occupy the tent if it were not stopped now.Fazlur Rehman informed Samiul Haq about the decision of holding countrywide protests in March against confining cases of terrorism under the 21st Amendment to religion and sects.
Sami suggested to bring everybody at D-Chowk before it is too late. He was of the view that something has to be done over the issue on immediate basis. Both the leaders agreed to keep contacts intact.It is expected that Fazlur Rehman will soon meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to discuss the matter.
