The third day of the Lahore International Book Fair witnessed a huge crowd with people from different walks of life, especially students, visiting the Expo Centre on Saturday.
The architect of Pakistan’s nuclear programme, Dr AQ Khan, was prominent among those visiting the fair.
Taking advantage of the weekly holiday at most of the educational institutions, many parents and their children thronged the Expo Centre in order to explore the world of books.
The five-day 29th Lahore International Book Fair with the theme “Books for Peace-Education for All” was inaugurated by Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood on Feb 5.
According to the organisers, over 200 stalls have been set up by local and foreign publishers at the fair where books are being sold on discounted prices on variety of topics including literature, arts, medicines, computer sciences, fiction, fashion and design and children literature. The event will continue from 10:30 am to 10:00 pm on daily basis till Feb 9 (Monday).
