Despite being the biggest city and the financial hub of Pakistan, Karachi faces so many problems. One of the biggest problems is the garbage crisis. The entire city is littered with heaps of garbage. The relevant authorities seem helpless. Different initiatives have been taken to tackle the issue, but to no avail. Residents are also dumping waste irresponsibly.
The sewage system in the city is not proper. Blocked drains have resulted in standing water in many areas of the city. This water becomes a breeding ground for mosquitoes which then spread harmful diseases like dengue and malaria. If we want to control this situation, we should properly dispose of waste in bins and must work together to clean up the city.
