POLICE arrested at least 40 suspects from various parts of the city on Saturday.
Police carried out a search operation across the city and rounded up 40 suspects who failed to produce their proof of identity for inspection on demand. All the suspects were dispatched to an undisclosed location for investigation.
blast: A man received injuries when a gas cylinder exploded in Shadbagh area on Saturday.
The man identified as Anwar was cooking rice in his house when the gas cylinder exploded with a bang. As a result, he received serious injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital where his condition was said to be critical.

Police said the man identified as Ahsan, a whitewasher by profession, had received serious burns a few days back when some hot chemical fell on him in his house in Chung area.
He was admitted to a local hospital where he expired on Saturday. Police handed over the body to heirs after completing the legal formalities.
