HAFIZABAD: Sadr police booked PTI district president and DBA general secretary Ch Amanullah Sindhu and 18 others on the charges of torturing flood affectees and interfering in government affairs.
According to the FIR, the flood affectees, including Shahid Nawaz, came to the DCO Office to receive compensation cheques when DBA general secretary Ch Amanullah Sindhu along with Adeel Sulharia advocate, Ghulam Hussain and others allegedly tortured them.
Meanwhile, the lawyers observed complete strike against the registration of a fake case. They also staged a demonstration outside the DCO Office and chanted slogans against ADC(G) Noman Hafeez. They demanded his immediate transfer. The lawyers also held a protest meeting and decided to observe the strike today.
On the other hand, DBA general secretary Ch Amanullah gave an application to Sadr police against ADC(G) Noman Hafeez, Shahid Nawaz and others, alleging that Noman Hafeez was distributing cheques among his favourite men on which he protested. To it, Noman Hafeez allegedly threatened him of dire consequences.
