LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has reiterated the allegations that the Sharif brothers would destabilise the country with the help of foreign powers if they were not taken to task at the earliest.
“London is the business base of former prime minister while Pakistan is his hunting ground,” he said while talking to reporters at the Lahore airport on Thursday after reaching here from London.
He said the real investigations into the Model Town killings would begin after the chief minister was removed from power, adding that Shahbaz was also nearing the end of his power. Tahirul Qadri said as soon as Justice Baqar Najafi report was made public, the PML-N leadership and all the ministers would be exposed as killers.
He said Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi has issued notices to the Punjab government in the case of publicising Justice Baqar Najafi report, and expressed the hope that this time families of Model Town killings victims would get justice.
He said NAB got a fresh chance of establishing its credibility by filing and probing references against the ruling family. He said Nawaz Sharif began establishing business empires across the world when he was chief minister of Punjab, and now his global business empire was bigger than the assets of any third world country.
PAT workers welcomed Dr Qadri with slogans and flower petals. Dr Hasan Mohiuddin Qadri, Hussain Mohiuddin Qadri, Noorullah Siddiqi, Jawad Hamid, Raja Zahid, Hafiz Ghulam Farid and others were also present.
