Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Siddiq-ul-Farooq, on Friday has relieved former secretary ETPB Junaid Ahmed Khan after a series of allegations of misuse of authority, illegal appointment, unlawful investment, etc emerged against him.
According to the sources, Siddiq-ul-Farooq made this decision after deliberations with Board officials. ‘Junaid Ahmed Khan has been surrendered for repatriation to his parent department with the immediate effect,’ the chairman wrote to the federal government. It is pertinent to mention here that former secretary ETPB had joined the ETPB on August 16, 2011 on deputation for a period of three years. The incumbent chairman after assuming the charge in October 2014 had proposed the federal government to extend the deputation period of a Postal Services Group officer, Junaid Ahmed Khan, for one year.
Meanwhile, ETPB chairman on Friday visited Board-run schools and colleges, including Benazir Bhutto, Hazrat Ayesha Degree College and Nawaz Sharif Girls High School to review security arrangements. During his meeting with teachers and staff, he also expressed his satisfaction over the security matters.
