PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has agreed, in principle, to the idea of formulating a KP Economic Development Board to provide a coherent economic direction to the province.
He was talking to Ghulam Dastagir, Chairman of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zone Development and Management Company, who called on him at Chief Minister’s House Peshawar. Both discussed various issues of importance for the Province.
They deliberated, at length, on the matter of formulating a K-P Economic Development Board in the vast interest of economic development of the province.
The chief minister agreed to the idea of such a body and it was decided that more work would be done to make it a reality.
It was decided that the government of KP would hold international conferences and business briefs for both local and foreign investors.
The budget for these symposia was also approved by the chief minister in the meeting, said an official handout.
