Housing societies’ offices sealed

LAHORE
STAFF of different directorates of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) continued their operation against illegal housing societies here Friday.
Officials said the joint operation was carried out by staff of the Metropolitan Planning and Town Planning Wing of LDA at Ferozepur Road during which site offices of four illegal housing societies were sealed. These included Alharm Garden, Abdullah Town, Gulberg Town and Saleem Garden. Officials said site office of Haji Park was demolished while roads and other physical infrastructures, including sewerage system and manholes were also demolished during this operation in these societies.
promoted: The Departmental Promotion Committee of the Lahore Development Authority has promoted 22 officials to Grade 17 on Friday.
Officials said the promoted officials included five staff officers, nine private secretaries, four sub-engineers, two computer officers, one Circle Head Draftsman and one private Senior Scale Stenographer.
Among five staff officers, Muhammad Shafique Ayaz has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Director, General Cadre, on regular basis while Syed Tanveer-ul-Hassan, Nadeem Iqbal, Muhammad Arshad and Javaid Sabir have been promoted on the acting charge basis.
Nine Private Secretaries (BS 17), who have been promoted as Assistant Directors, General Cadre on the acting charge basis, are Akbar Ali, Haroon Rashid, Khalid Pervaiz, Riaz Ahmed, Arshad Pervaiz, Mazhar Maqsood, Arshad Ali Dogar, Sher Ahmed Awan and Javaid Iqbal.
Four sub-engineers (BS-16), promoted as Assistant Director (Engineering) on regular basis, are Mehmood Akhtar, Muhammad Din, Syed Saleem Abbas Zaidi and Abdul Rashid. Two Computer Officers (BS-16) Ghulam Anwar and Muhammad Ayub have been promoted as Assistant Directors (Computer).
Circle Head Draftsman Izat Ali has been promoted to the rank of Chief Draftsman while Senior Scale Stenographer Naisr Mehmood has been promoted as Private Secretary (BS-17) on regular

basis.
