PESHAWAR: Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) head Aftab Sherpao said that Pakistan’s diplomacy was not successful in the wake of the US president’s new Afghan policy.
“The prevailing mistrust between the US and Pakistan is the outcome of the flawed foreign policy of the country,” he said while addressing a public meeting in Hazaar Khwani village on the outskirts of the provincial capital.
On the occasion, Sheikh Karim Jan along with his family members and supporters announced to join QWP.
Aftab Sherpao said that Pakistan didn’t have a permanent foreign minister that also led to the country’s isolation at the international level.
He expressed displeasure over the US attitude towards Pakistan, saying that the country rendered matchless sacrifices and America was trying to blame Pakistan for its failure in Afghanistan.
Aftab Sherpao criticised the recent reconstitution of the Council of Common Interests (CCI) and said the QWP would use every forum to protest against this act.
He said the federal government should realise the importance of maintaining a strong federation by ensuring the provision of rights to the smaller units.
The QWP chief added that smaller units should be given control over their resources.
