The newly elected prime minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, has taken some effective measures through merger of different ministries to effectively manage and resolve a few serious issues. In Sindh, the most important issue that must be resolved is the garbage crisis in Karachi. While the city’s administration is doing everything it can in this regard, the fact is that without a proper plan no method will turn out to be effective.
It is essential that we provide a clean environment to our next generation. The prime minister must look into the possibility of merging and pooling all local departments involved in the disposal of garbage and establish a separate ministry that will chalk out policies for the cleanliness of the city. Maximum resources must be allocated to streamline the process of waste collection to achieve the desired results.
