Punjab sends two more mobile health units to Peshawar
LAHORE: On the instructions of the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz, the provincial Primary and Secondary Health Department has taken more steps for diagnosis and treatment of dengue patients in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and eight ambulances of Punjab Emergency Rescue Service 1122 along with medical equipment and medicines have been sent to Peshawar.
According to a handout, two more mobile health units have also been dispatched to Peshawar on the instructions of the chief minister. Earlier, a mobile health unit sent to Peshawar earlier is providing treatment facilities to the people of the area.
Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Health Khawaja Imran Nazir who is present in Peshawar along with his medical team said three CBC analyzer machines for blood test of dengue patients and NS-1 kits for dengue tests had also been sent to Peshawar from Lahore. Kh Imran Nazir said Dengue Expert Advisory Group convener Prof Dr Faisal Masood and his team examined 800 people, and blood screening was conducted in the laboratory of mobile health unit. He also said that dengue was confirmed in 150 people whose treatment had been started.
