This is to draw the attention of the Sindh government to develop new graveyards for Karachi. Many of the existing cemeteries are already full and fresh graves are built on top of old ones. The Karachi mayor has asked the provincial authorities to give space to the city for setting up more graveyards.
The city officials are setting up a model graveyard in Surjani Town. However, they say this space is insufficient to meet the needs of the city, which is one of the most densely populated cities of the world. The Sindh government should allocate more land for graveyards in this mega city.
