DASKA: The tehsil revenue officer Wednesday imposed a fine on eight shopkeepers for violating shops space rules.
The action was initiated as locals filed complaints to Assistant Commissioner Chaudhry Zulfiqar Bhoon regarding encroachments on the part of the shopkeepers.
On the instruction of the AC, the tehsil revenue officer visited the area and imposed a Rs 17,000 fine on shopkeepers Imran, Shan, Ishtiaq Ahmed, Soni, Abdul Rauf, Yusuf, Saddiq and Khadim.
‘DACOITS’ HELD: Motra police Wednesday claimed arresting two suspected dacoits and recovered illicit firearms from them.
On a tip-off, police raided a locality in the area of canal M R Link and arrested Asif and Fahran, who, according to police, were planning to deprive locals of their valuables. Their five accomplices managed to escape.
