Qadri announces sit-in on The Mall on 16th
LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Tahirul Qadri announced to stage a ‘dharna’ against the Model Town killings on August 16 on The Mall in Lahore. He also said Nawaz Sharif was shouting like a thief who shouts after committing a wanton act.
Talking to the media here on Friday, he said the rally of ex-prime minister had converted to a caravan of speeding
cars. He was of the view that Nawaz must avoid waging a fight with the institutions.
Quoting the statement of ex-PM in which he (Nawaz Sharif) said his government was dislodged so that it did not complete the constitutional term, Qadri asked why Nawaz forgets the right to information, social justice and other issues, which were clearly described in the Constitution.
He said if Nawaz wanted to go home, why he is criticising the court and other institutions.
He said unveiling the report of Justice Baqir Najfi is their (PAT) constitutional right, which is being ruined.
The PAT head said he was waging a war against the killers of his 14 party activists. He said the Punjab chief minister did not submit nomination papers for NA-120 due to the fear of disqualification. He vowed to revenge the martyrs of Model Town incident.
