TANK: Former chief justice of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) Abdul Karim Khan Kundi passed away and was laid to rest on Tuesday. He was 79.
He breathed his last in a hospital in Islamabad and his body was brought to his native Tank district for burial.He was the father of Attorney General of Pakistan, Afnan Karim Kundi.The funeral prayers for the deceased were offered and he was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Gul Imam village in Tank.
People from various walks of life including judges, lawyers, civil officers and local people attended the funeral prayers for the deceased in large numbers.
Prominent among those attended the funeral prayers were Additional Judge of the Peshawar High Court Justice Younus Thaheem, Additional Attorney General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Syed Attique Shah, Deputy Commissioner Tank, Ahmad Khan Wazir, District Police Officer Kifayatullah Wazir and others.Meanwhile, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Mahtab Ahmed Khan has condoled the death of Justice (Retd) Abdul Karim Kundi.
