JUI-F protests against corruption in Sindh

SUKKUR: The JUI-F demonstrated in Mirpur Mathelo against corruption in Sindh. Thousands of activists of the JUI-F led by its Secretary General Maulana Rashid Mahmood Soomro and others carried out a protest rally in Mirpur Mathello.

While addressing the rally, Rashid Mahmood Soomro said that Asif Ali Zardari was more corrupt than Nawaz Sharif. He accused Asif Zardari of making Sindh as Moen jo Daro in his nine-year rule. He said that the Industrial units in Ghotki were ignoring the local habitants. 

He said that preaching of religion was the right of the people, even a Hindu can preach his religion, but propaganda against seminaries was being spread, which should be stopped.  He said that Sindh was rich in natural resources like oil, gas, coal, river, fertile lands and had ports, but the people of fertile Sindh were committing suicide. He said that people of the rich Sindh were deprived of food, shelter, jobs by the rulers. He said the rulers were committing corruption of billions of rupees in development schemes.

He said that Sindh was providing 69 percent petrol, 70 percent revenue and 71 percent gas to the central government, but it is not bothering to provide due share to Sindh. He said that corruption mafias, favouritism, and nepotism were destroying Sindh. 

He said that the all institutions of Sindh were infected with the cancer of corruption. He said that diseases like Hepatitis and AIDS were claiming the lives of innocent people but there were no medicines in hospitals. The participants in the rally demanded the elimination of corruption.
