MANSEHRA: Dozens of tourists remained stranded following landslides on the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road near Babusar Top on Thursday.
The sources said that two vehicles of tourists were damaged when hit by heavy boulder on the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road, which links Gilgit-Baltistan with Kaghan valley of Mansehra. However, no loss of life was reported in the incident.
“We don’t know the exact number of tourists stranded in Naran and Babusar Top hotels but we have re-opened the road at two points and three others would be cleared soon,” a police official in Chilas told reporters.
He said most of tourists who were travelling to Gilgit-Baltistan from Naran were returned to their hotels in Naran. The official said the road was blocked at five different places because of landslides and flash floods.
