Tourist spots
Daman-e-Koh is a famous tourist spot in Islamabad. However, the space has now become a dismal picture of mismanagement. The sanitary condition of the site is appalling. Broken lights, poor sanitation and worn out lanes have tampered with the beauty of the place. If the place cannot appeal to domestic tourists, how will it manage to attract foreign tourists?
The following measures can be adopted to improve the condition of the place. The CDA can impose an entry ticket worth Rs20 and the income that is generated can be used for the repair and maintenance of the site. For the same reason, the rate of a parking ticket should also be increased. Other attractions should be installed to increase the number of visitors. Small-scale family festivals can be arranged for income generation. The authorities must take concrete steps to attract more visitors to the place.
