KARACHI: Khushhali Bank, a leading microfinance institution, has selected Oracle for IT infrastructure upgrade to boost business growth and service quality. With this integration, Khushhali Microfinance Bank has joined the ranks of global microfinance banks that deploy core banking applications on Oracle Exastack.
With plans to expand exponentially by 2020, and a newly acquired core banking application, the bank needed a reliable, robust and scalable infrastructure to deliver the performance needed for the new software and other surrounding applications. Khushhali Bank also wanted to consolidate its data centre footprint and find ways of lowering operational costs by reducing man-hours for administrative and maintenance tasks.
The bank’s President and CEO Muhammad Ghalib Nishtar said, “Khushhali Microfinance Bank is proud to have the largest client base amongst microfinance banks in Pakistan, serving over 0.5 million active borrowers and over 1.4 million active savers. Our financial services are empowering the country’s lowest-income populace, helping to give them a better standard of living.”
