Nawaz reaching capital today
ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be reaching Islamabad today (Tuesday) from Shangla Gali where he is staying these days.
He will monitor the electoral process of the prime minister by National Assembly. It is likely he will also attend the oath taking ceremony of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as prime minister in the Presidency. The services chiefs and all parliamentary group leaders, including Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Imran Khan also have been invited for the ceremony that will take place at 8 pm.
Well placed sources told The News here on Monday that Nawaz Sharif will be staying in the Block A of Punjab House and during his stay he will discuss political developments with his aides and other political leaders. The sources said that Nawaz Sharif has decided to jump in fray for a political battle to take his party in the general elections of next year. He will also plan to visit Lahore and other cities since large number of PML-N workers have approached him for his visit to their respective areas.
