ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, on Sunday warned the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari that he would not spare him and also asked Shahbaz Sharif and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to get ready, as he would now chase them, saying that the match against corruption had not finished yet.

Speaking to a charged and largely-attended thanksgiving rally here at the Parade
PTI chief made some promises to the nation when his party would take its turn. He predicted victory of PTI candidate Dr Yasmeen Rashid against Shahbaz Sharif in the upcoming by-poll in Lahore.

Imran also gave warning to what he called a big ally of Nawaz Sharif in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

The PTI chairman alleged that to save their corruption, Sharifs could have compromised Pakistan’s interests and referred to the AJK prime minister’s statement at a news conference Saturday which he clarified on Sunday. “What else can be mutiny, I ask the people of Azad Kashmir to stage protests outside his (AJK PM) residence against him, who had issued this statement in support of a person, who had been caught red-handed,” he remarked. He said the AJK prime minister is a cheap, honourless and shameless person.

PTI chairman continued that the Sharif family would align with the enemy and cited the DawnLeaks issue, wherein the PM Office, he alleged, used the type of language that Indian PM Modi would use against Pakistan Army and wondered what else could be disloyalty. He alleged that this was done to cover up their corruption, as there was a strong Jewish-Indian lobby in the United States. He said the Sharifs wear an innocent posture after committing massive corruption. He said the Sharifs entangled Jemima in a fake tiles smuggling case when she came to Pakistan after marriage.

He called Nawaz the biggest money launderer, followed by Ishaq Dar, Shahbaz Sharif and Zardari.

Calling out Shahbaz, LNG Abbasi (Shahid Khaqan) and others, he said that the entire corrupt would not be spared and he would chase them. The PTI chief said that for the last 30 years, not politicians, but a mafia and family was in power, which had looted and plundered the nation with impunity. However, he said, a dawn of a new Pakistan had been given by the Supreme Court judges. He also was all praise for Joint Investigation Team (JIT) members who probed PanamaLeaks case.

Referring to the cases against him in the Supreme Court, Imran vowed to step down as party chief if anything proved untrue in the money trail he filed in the apex court. Imran vowed to slam walls of Governor House in Lahore and what to do next, he was yet to decide, and also pledged to turn the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor House into a ladies park.

The PTI chairman said that they would reform the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other institutions and promote merit and spend on education and health like in Germany and France.

“In our times, accountability will start from the prime minister, ministers and then whosoever will indulge in corruption will be arrested and NAB would not look to PM before doing that,” he claimed. He said that it was for the first time that the Supreme Court stood up and gave its judgement against the powerful while in the past, only the weak would be proceeded against.

Imran questioned the justification of huge governor houses and Prime Minister House in a country, wherein about 50 percent population lived below the poverty line. He promised never to let down Pakistan.

Imran slammed Nawaz Sharif for naming his brother for the post of prime minister and questioned that was there democracy in PML-N. He added that had there been democracy, anyone else could have been named. Imran explained that Nawaz Sharif was prime minister, his daughter Maryam was deputy prime minister, while in Punjab, Shahbaz was chief minister and his son Hamza was deputy chief minister. “N-Leaguers, tell me is this democracy? Does this happen in democracy? This is monarchy,” he alleged.

The Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmad while referring to the apex court judgement quipped that Puppo failed in all five subjects. He charged that Nawaz Sharif was coward and it were Raja Zafarul Haq, Gohar Ayub and he (Sh Rashid), who were instrumental in the decision of exploding nuclear devices. He claimed that it was Saifur Rehman, who asked Nawaz Sharif to make Shahid Khaqan Abbasi interim prime minister and this was connected to the agreement with Qatar. The AML leader said Nawaz, Shahbaz and their children would be in jail.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak said Shahbaz Sharif was also about to go after Nawaz Sharif, as cases were going to be heard against him. He asked people of Lahore to ‘vote against him’ in the upcoming by-election.

“Be prepared Shahbaz Sharif, you will have to be held answerable for spill of blood in Model Town. The JIT report on the incident must be made public to find out who ordered killings,” asserted Jehangir Tareen, PTI’s secretary general.

He alleged that Nawaz Sharif’s story on money trail from Saudi Arabia, Dubai to London turned out to be a concocted one and that the Sharifs owned 16 companies in Britain for which they would be held accountable and also for Hill Mettle and other firms. Tareen also introduced a new slogan, Go Shahbaz Go.

The PTI’s Asad Umar slammed the PML-N government’s economic policies and feared that side by side with Nawaz-Modi friendship and DawnLeaks, the Sharifs had endangered the national security by obtaining so much loans. “The issue has reached to four Iqamas from four London flats,” he said.
