Well-timed

In a well-timed and effective diplomatic move, the Foreign Office invited envoys of European countries and permanent members of the United Nations Security Council to reiterate and communicate Pakistan’s just and historic dedication to the Kashmir cause.
In the wake of an impending power imbalance as a result of US-India nuclear and diplomatic cooperation, Pakistan is adopting the correct approach by internationalising the Kashmir dispute and highlighting state-led oppression and violation of international laws by India. Pakistan emphatically communicated its ‘unflinching political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people’. Adviser to the PM on National Security Sartaj Aziz also reiterated Pakistan’s devotion to Kashmir in defining our regional and international diplomatic priorities. The government’s move at safeguarding our national interests on the diplomatic front is laudable.
