PETROL is available in abundance and there is no shortage of it anywhere in the province and the new transport fares will be implemented strictly.
This was stated by Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin while addressing a meeting at Civil Secretariat, here Monday.
The meeting reviewed the impact of reduction in prices of petroleum products on the prices of daily use items. Secretary Transport told the meeting that the new transport fares had been displayed at bus stands and special squads were checking the buses in this regard.
Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal directed that the benefit of reduction in prices of petroleum products should be provided to the people and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard. He said a watchful eye should be kept on the prices of essential items and profiteers be dealt with strictly.
Bilal Yasin said the government had given the proof of being democratic leadership by reducing transport fares and it had become clear that PML-N was the representative party of the masses and it believed in the public welfare.
