PM should resign immediately, says Shujaat
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujaat Hussain has started contacting national political leaders and different Muslim factions’ leaders over the political situation, external situation and for immediate resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Panama case.
Shujaat Hussain on Saturday held telephonic conversations with MQM Pakistan chief Dr Farooq Sattar, Muslim League Functional President Pir Sahib Pagara, Sibghatullah Rashidi and head of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Mustafa Kamal during which views were exchanged on the present situation in the country, demand for Nawaz Sharif’s immediate resignation and unanimous strategy of all opposition parties.
Shujaat Hussain and Pir Pagara have agreed to meet for consultation. Shujaat said that in the interest of the country and the nation it was the duty of leaders of political parties to put pressure on Nawaz Sharif to resign immediately.
