Adil to face Rayyan in tennis final
KARACHI: Adil Khan and Rayyan Jawad reached the final of the 1st Bridge Power Batteries ATF Super Series Tennis Championship at Karachi Gymkhana here on Thursday.
In the first semi-final, top seed Adil beat third seed Abdullah Khan 6-4, 6-1 and unseeded Rayyan stunned second seed Ibrahim Khan 6-4, 6-2 in the second semi-final.Adil will take on Rayyan in the final on Friday (today).
On Wednesday, the pair of Hamid Israr Gul and Hasheesh Kumar beat the duo of Adil Khan and Ibrahim Khan 7-5, 6-1 in the final of under-14 doubles. The results of the quarter-finals of consolation draw were: M Talha Khan beat M Atiq Ali 6-3, 6-1; Mahatir Khan overpowered Asim Gul 6-0, 6-3; M Huziafa Khan defeated Saim Danish Ch 7-5, 6-0; and Ammeer Ismal Mapara beat Arhan Asad 6-0, 6-0.
