ISLAMABAD: The FBR’s Customs authorities have seized 465 grams of Marijuana and 25 grams of cocaine concealed inside a jar of supplement hidden in a parcel booked for UK.
The accused person has been arrested by the authorities on Wednesday after registering an FIR. According to details, during examination of the parcel AWB 15 04713243 at Import (examination) booked by Asim Khan, r/o 17 Shepherds Wood Drive NG8 3NA Nottingham, UK, for Raja Asaam B34, Major Farooq Road, Shumali Muhallah Jhelum, Punjab, was found suspicious.
The parcel was containing sealed supplement jar and T-shirts. Detailed examination of the parcel led to the recovery of 465 grams of Marijuana and 25 grams of cocaine concealed inside the jar.
Estimated value of narcotics in international market is about Rs5.25 million. An FIR is being lodged against the above named consignee with I&P Branch under the Customs Act, 1969. Further investigation is in progress. The accused has been arrested on Wednesday from Jhelum.
