YDA demands clean-up operation
LAHORE: Lahore General Hospital chapter of Young Doctors Association (YDA) has demanded removal of encroachments from the hospital’s service road and deployment of police in the hospital.
The demand was raised in a meeting held under the leadership of president Dr Saleem Shahzad Malik and General Secretary Dr Asif Saghir on Tuesday, according to a press release. The YDA pointed out that in 2016, 14 police officials were deputed in LGH, which were now only reduced to 3 to 4 officials and it was insufficient to manage the requirements.
The doctors stressed if the steps were not taken to meet the demands within three days, a protest would be held against negligence. They said tall claims of the Punjab government for improving health facilities could not come true until practical steps are taken accordingly.
