Rain and destruction
By our correspondents
July 11, 2017
The recent monsoon rains destroyed several houses in Hub, leading to the death of around 20 people. Flood victims are going through a tough time because of the shortage of food and water. Everything they had was washed away by flood. Some of the people are also deprived of shelter. Although a large number of people are facing troubles on a daily basis because of the water and food shortage, no serious steps have been taken by local authorities to alleviate the sufferings of the victims.
The government should do something to provide relief to the people. Basic commodities, including food, should be sent to the affected areas. All of us should also stand united and help the victims.
