Lahore: Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif paid rich tributes to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and especially thanked him while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Haveli Bahadur Shah Power Plant.
He said that the Punjab chief minister had continuously worked very hard for the success of the 1230-megawatt plant. Chief Technology Officer of General Electric Company John Lammas commended the leadership abilities of Chief Minister Sharif with regard to transparency and speedy completion of the project.
He said that turbines of the plant had been installed in a record period of time; adding that never ever gas turbines were installed with such a speed anywhere in the world. The Vice President of Power China Construction Company and Secretary Communist Party Wang Lee congratulated Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif over completion of the plant in a record period of time. Chief Executive Officer of National Power Parks Company Rashid Langrial talked about the achievements gained in a short period of time.
