LAHORE: Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department has stopped recruitment of homeopathic doctors and Hakeems in Punjab.
The department, in its earlier notification No. SO (G.II) 22-4/15, dated 02.02.2016, had already banned recruitment of homeopathic doctors, Homoeo dispensers, Hakeems and Dawa Saaz, etc. The Department, in its fresh notification No. SO (G.II) 22-4/2015, dated 04.07.2017, addressed to Director General Health Services and all chief executive officers of District Health Authorities in Punjab, stated that, despite imposition of ban, various districts of Punjab were recruiting homeopathic doctors, Homeo dispensers, Hakeems and Dawa Saaz, etc, which was illegal and in contravention to the notification. The above-mentioned cadres have been declared dying cadres and any appointment/recruitment against any sanctioned posts relating to these cadres is void ab-initio, it said.
