The Nazimabad police arrested a man for selling stray dogs as popular breed dogs after changing their appearance and posting their pictures on a website.
Identified as Sagheer, Superintendent of Gulberg police station Bashir Brohi said the accused has sold several street dogs to people after using paint on them to change their colour. The man was arrested following a complaint filed by a man, Riazuddin, after he purchased a dog from Sagheer.
The police registered a case and also recovered four street dogs given the makeover of a German Shepherd from his possession. The accused confessed to his crime during interrogation. He told the police that he caught stray dogs with his accomplices. He was presented before a court on Tuesday.
