LAHORE: Protests against Parachinar terrorist attacks continued in Lahore on Friday but were concluded after brief proceedings upon the reports that the week-long sit-in in Parachinar had been ended after the army chief visited there and accepted the demands of the protesters. Shia Ulema Council staged a demonstration outside Masjid Al Husain on Ferozepur Road while Majlis Wahdat Muslemin took out rally at Shabab Chowk at Samnabad to press for their demands and condemn the ongoing wave of terrorism in the country. The protesters were raising slogans and holding banners and placards for their demands.
Addressing the protesters, the leader expressed gratitude for the army chief for accepting their demands and announced full support to his measures taken for eliminating the terrorism and extremism in the country.
SUC Punjab leaders Hafiz Kazim Raza, Hasan Raza Qumi and Shahbaz Haider Naqvi addressed the protesters at Masjid Al Hussain while MWM leaders Hasan Raza and Khurram Zaidi led the rally at Samnabad. Later, the protesters dispersed peacefully.
