Vacant post of Jhang DO E&IP
Hundreds of seminaries unregistered

JHANG: Despite orders of the Punjab government, the registration of hundreds of seminaries could not be started in the district due to the vacant post of the DO Enterprises and Investment Promotion (E&IP) for the last three years.
Sources said that the Services and Industries secretary had been informed about the vacant post, but political bigwigs managed to hand over the additional charge of the post to the system network administrator (SNA) whose job is to maintain computer networking in Jhang and Bhakkar. They said that system network administrator remained absent from duty for at least three year. They disclosed that hundreds of seminaries were unregistered in the district. When contacted, the DCO said that not only the post of DO E&IP was vacant but the posts of the EDO Finance and Planning, EDO Works and Services, DO Roads were also vacant.
