Says PTI chief levelling allegations like insane person; CJ must take suo motu notice
FAISALABAD: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Saturday said the institutions had given Imran Khan a free hand to level allegations against any person and were not taking notice of his practice.
He added that Imran was levelling allegations against anyone like an insane person according to his will but failed to present a single proof before the court; however, the accusations were discussed in JIT in their (PML-N) case.
Talking to media persons, Abid questioned whether a person (Imran) had been given the authority to be foul-mouthed and whether the institutions were helpless against him. The chief justice must take suo motu notice against Imran and it was Nawaz who got the judiciary restored, he said.
Abid said Imran was levelling baseless allegations against the Sharif family, adding that not a single case of corruption was proved against Nawaz Sharif during the tenure of Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf and the plane hijacking case was framed after the failure to formulate any other case.
He said they were not among those taking refuge in institutions and the prime minister was not Musharraf to fly to London using the excuse of medical treatment.
He said Musharraf conducted accountability of Nawaz and his family for 10 years and held his trial on the basis of Rehman Malik’s reports. Who would give answer about the years Nawaz spent in exile and the damage done to his businesses, Abid asked.
