Missing boy found dead in Baghbanpura

A four-year old boy, who was kidnapped four days back from the Baghbanpura area, has been recovered dead from the roof of his next door neighbour.

The victim identified as Shoaib was the son of chairman UC-130 Shahbaz. The victim had gone missing four days back, on which the family got a kidnapping case registered against unidentified kidnappers. On the day of the incident, the victim’s body was recovered from the roof of his next door neighbour. Police shifted the body to morgue.

suicide: A 30-year-old man reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope in the North Cantt area on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Atique of Lonian Mandi. Police found the circumstantial evidences dubious and removed the body to morgue.

PHP: Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) claimed to have arrested 30 criminals,  including four proclaimed offenders (POs).

PHP teams during snap checking seized 160 kg unhygienic meat from a car. PHP arrested 30 accused and seized 77 litre liquor, 4,770 gram charas, four pistols, one rifle and 27 bullets from their possession.

Meanwhile, PHP teams reunited five children; Muhammad Wasim, Shahzaib, Amhad, Daniyal and Saima; with their parents.

40 arrested in search operation: Rangers, police and intelligence officials conducted search operation at Badami Bagh and arrested 40 suspects. The arrested suspects had failed to produce their identification papers for checking. The suspects were dispatched to undisclosed location for further questioning.

Two killed: Two persons lost their lives in different road accidents here on Sunday.

A bike rider identified as Munir, motorcycle mechanic by profession, was killed by a speeding dumper on Bund Road. In another incident, a pedestrian identified as Jabar Masih was killed by a rashly-driven car in the limits of Kahna area. The accused drivers fled the scene.

Iftar packs: Special Iftar packs were distributed among the wardens at Railway Station and Aik Moria Pul on Sunday. 

The traffic wardens distributed Iftar packs among the citizens to strengthen police-citizen relation.
