A 30-year-old unidentified man found dead in the Qila Gujjar Singh Police limits on Tuesday.
Police have removed the dead body to the morgue for autopsy. A passerby informed the police about a man lying unconscious on a Lakshmi Chowk pavement. Police reached the incident place and rushed the victim to a local hospital where doctors pronounced him as brought dead. Police told the media that he looked like a beggar and might have died due to cold or excessive use of drugs. However, autopsy will help ascertain the cause of death. Police were searching for the family of the deceased.
Meanwhile, a 55-year-old unidentified man was found dead in the Bhatti Gate Police limits on Tuesday. Police have removed the dead body to the morgue for autopsy. A passerby informed the police about a man lying unconscious in Fish Market. Police reached the incident place and rushed the victim to a local hospital where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
A 50-year-old unidentified man was found dead in the Data Darbar Police limits on Tuesday. Police have removed the dead body to the morgue for autopsy. A passerby informed the police about a man lying unconscious in front of Gate No. 5 (Sunehri Gate) of the Tomb of Ali Hajveri. Police reached the incident place and rushed the victim to a local hospital where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
failure : The Defence-C Police failed to find any clue to attackers involved in the killing of a building contractor in Phase-VII. According to Incharge Investigation Touqeer Anjum, they have yet to trace out the accused and the motorcycle used in the criminal activity.
Muhammad Amir Nawaz, son of the deceased, told The News that they had strong doubt on a retired official of the army who worked in the Engineering Department of the FWO. He said his father had a conflict with the said official over the clearance of cheques since November 2014.
He alleged that the army man had demanded bribe of Rs 10 lakhs to clear a cheque. The official was also fired by the FWO over the scuffle. The victim had also lodged a complaint with the Frontier Works Organisation to inquire about the whole matter. The Inquiry Committee of the FWO had also advised the victim to restrict himself to his home.
