Police Access Service launched in Nowshera, Swabi

NOWSHERA/SWABI: The Police Access Service was launched in Nowshera and Swabi districts on Tuesday to facilitate public in registering their complaints without any delay.

Minister for Excise and Taxation Mian Jamsheduddin Kakakhel was the chief guest on the occasion. The service was introduced on the directives of the Inspector General of Police Salahuddin Mehsud. The public would provide information on the suspected activities or register complaints on an SMS and the police would take action within 24 hours.

The public would send the SMS on 0346-1117670. Speaking on the occasion, Jamsheduddin urged the masses to play their role in elimination of crimes from the society. He said that the service would prove a milestone in the easy provision of justice to the masses.

Meanwhile, the Police Access Service (PAS) facility was also inaugurated in Swabi on Tuesday.

MPA Shiraz Khan, District Nazim Ameer Rehman, district police officer Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf, Deputy Commissioner Mutasimbillah, members of dispute resolution council, tehsil nazims and district assembly attended the gathering.

Speaking on the occasion, Shiraz Khan said that peace returned to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a result of the tremendous sacrifices of the law-enforcing agencies.
