LAHORE: CIA police claimed to have arrested a man for threatening and demanding extortion money from a factory owner and recovered a mobile phone and SIMs from his possession on Tuesday. The accused was identified as Ilyas Baloch.
A cosmetics factory owner, Sheikh Kashif Aftab, received a call in which the accused threatened him and demanded Rs 10 million extortion money. The special team traced the accused with the help of his mobile phone.
During the interrogation, the accused disclosed that he worked in the factory of the complainant, but was fired for ‘no reason’. SSP Investigation Rana Ayaz announced commendatory certificates and cash prize for the special police team.
