HANGU: The police seized 15 kilograms hashish during checking at separate places in the district on Sunday, an official said. Talking to reporters, DPO Ihsanullah Khan said that acting on a tip-off regarding the presence of hashish in a vehicle, the police signaled a car (BD-7690) to stop at Torghar Police checkpost. The police recovered 12kg hashish from hidden cavities of the vehicle, he added. He said the drug traffickers managed to flee the scene. The hashish was meant to be smuggled from Sadda in Kurram Agency to Peshawar, the official maintained. Meanwhile, the city police recovered 3kg hashish from the hidden cavities of a vehicle (7571) parked at a bus stop. The police impounded the vehicles and started investigation after registering separate cases.
