Opposition to continue protest
LAHORE
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader and opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Mian Mahmoodul Rasheed and Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior leader Ch Pervaiz Elahi agreed during a meeting that in Punjab Assembly strong protest against corruption in Punjab, anti-people budget and the rulers would continue.
The meeting was held at the residence of Pervez Elahi where they exchanged views on the budget. Pervaiz Elahi apprised the opposition leader in detail about Rs 100 billion alleged misappropriations in the Punjab during the last three years. Appreciating the performance of Mian Mahmoodul Rasheed and opposition in the Punjab Assembly, he said the opposition was united against the government. It was decided that people would be kept aware of alleged misdeeds of the government. Thanking Pervez Elahi, Mahmoodul Rasheed said that highlighting black deeds of the government before the people was their first and foremost duty. The rulers have no interest in the solution of problems of any segment of the people, he added.
