Due to the efforts of Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, an overseas Pakistani settled in Canada has got the possession of his Rs50 million worth plot after a delay of four years.

Commissioner OPC Afzaal Bhatti informed that Muhammad Afzal Kahloon of Calgary, Canada lodged a complaint with OPC that he had bought an eight marla commercial plot in a housing scheme of Lahore in 2013 but despite full payment he had not been given the possession of the plot.

Afzaal Bhatti said his complaint was referred to District Overseas Pakistanis Committee (DOPC), Lahore. After concerted efforts of the members of DOPC, Canada-based overseas Pakistani got the possession of his plot.

Meanwhile, OPC Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti and Public Facilitation Committee Chairman Sajid Ch presented the documents of ownership of plot to Afzal Kahloon. Afzal Kahloon said OPC is providing tremendous relief to overseas Pakistanis by resolving their complaints and because of the efforts of OPC team he has got possession of his plot after four years.

EDHI FOUNDATION: Edhi Foundation shifted 6,658 patients and bodies from different places to hospitals and homes during the month of May.According to the spokesman, Edhi ambulances shifted 134 victim, who died in road accidents, to different places, including mortuaries without any charges. He said 297 injured persons were also shifted to hospitals during this period.

He told Edhi Foundation performed funerals of 32 unidentified persons by providing them coffins etc. Edhi also provided first aid to 7,983 patients and meal to 11,000 persons.  He appealed to citizens to inform Edhi at helpine 115 in case of any emergency.
