KARACHI: Sialkot and Lahore Blues blasted their way into the semi-finals of the Inter-Region Under-19 One-day tournament as the final round matches completed on Sunday.
Karachi Whites and Karachi Blues had already qualified for the last four.
Lahore Blues, FATA and Quetta were tied on ten points but Lahore Blues made it to the semi-finals owing to their better net run-rate.
Sialkot defeated Bahawalpur by 164 runs in their Group A meeting at KRL Stadium, Rawalpindi.
Sialkot posted 253-9 with Mohsin Riaz scoring 77 not out with four fours and two sixes.
Ali Imran got 3-35, while Mohammad Naved Malik and Mohammad Junaid got two wickets each.
Bahawalpur were all out for 89 with Ali Imran scoring 41 with five fours. Adnan Haider got 3-4, while Usman Sajjad captured 2-22.
At Pindi Stadium, DM Jamali crushed Lahore Whites by 84 runs.
DM Jamali scored 240 all out with Mohammad scoring 63 with five fours. Hanan Zahid, Abid Rafiq, Hashim Ibrahim and Fahad Munir got two wickets each.
Lahore Whites managed only 156-7 with Faisal Ali scoring 62 not out.
Muhammad and Fahad Hussain got two wickets each.
At Marghzar Ground, Islamabad, Faisalabad defeated Hyderabad by six wickets.
Faisalabad raced to the 228-run target in the 39th over with Mohammad Zeeshan scoring 115 not out. He hammered 18 fours in his 114-ball knock.
Earlier, Uzair Jafferi belted 139 off 134 balls with 16 fours and two sixes to enable Hyderabad to post 227 all out. Suleman Shafqat got 4-46.
Islamabad crushed AJK by 140 runs at Diamond Club Ground, Islamabad.
They posted 255-8 and then dismissed AJK for 115.
In a crunch clash here at UBL Sports Complex, FATA defeated Lahore Blues by 53 runs but still failed to qualify for the semi-finals.
FATA scored 169 and in reply Lahore Blues were bowled out for 116 with Inamullah and Shah Afridi taking four wickets each.
