This refers to the letters, ‘Pride of the nation’ (May 8), by Mahreen Waheed. The writer hopes that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will honour Younis Khan. One also requests the PCB to honour one of the greatest cricketers of the country. When an existing player is rewarded for his achievements, junior players aspire to perform better and bring fame to the country.
Similarly, if Younis Khan will be appreciated and rewarded by the PCB as well as the government, many other players will be motivated to achieve something for the country.
